Valve: Portal 2 On Xbox 360 Is Identical To The PS3 Version

Valve Says Xbox 360 & PS3 Versions Of Portal 2 Will Be Identical

Valve is putting in a noble effort, but ultimately pointless, as most efforts of the noble variety are to dissuade people from uncouth comparisons between the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions of its upcoming puzzler. Well, there is one rather significant difference, which has come about as a result of Valve switching feud partners from Sony to Microsoft.

“If you bought the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions and put them side by side you can see they’re identical games. The actual content is the same too across all platforms,” said Chet Faliszek. And that goes for everything except for the connectivity options.”As gamers we always look at what we would want and how we wanted it and on the PS3 we’ve been able to deliver a lot of the things we would like to see,” he added. “Sony has been really great to work with; they’ve been really supportive and helpful for us to do this.” Xbox 360 players won’t be able to play with their PC brethren, the irony of which is apparently lost on Microsoft.
