Stephen King's Dark Tower Series Getting Game Adaptation, Say Rumors
While I haven’t read Stephen King’s incredibly ambitious epic yet, it has been on my waiting list for a while and it looks like I may need to hurry the process along or else risk having the whole thing revealed in spoilerific trailers and such, at least if Ain’t It Cool News is to be believed. Games to movies, I’ve seen plenty of those, but book to game adaptations are still new to me.

“Universal is giving very strong support…There’s also a very ambitious game component being planned that will further utilize elements from the books. [If everything continues on schedule and the budget is approved], it looks like things are coming together for a late-summer or early-September start,” says the source, a guy called Eddie Dean and who will probably be sorely missed by his co-workers after so gleefully spilling the beans on this. The source material seems amazingly suited to a game setting from what I gather, so all that’s left is to see it done, if indeed it can be.

Eddie Dean is one of the main characters of the series. Just letting you know if u didn’t.
Or maybe u were being sarcastic now that I read it again. If so I apologize its just you said u hadn’t read them yet, so I thought maybe u didn’t know.
Although its the series I have read. It had just awesome concepts in a really unique setting. U can tell a lot was out into those books.
I wasn’t being sarcastic, I genuinely hadn’t read them. Thanks for the heads up on the guy’s name, but that’s really the name the source offered in the Ain’t It Cool article and not having read the books I had no way of knowing it was a character name. Marginally clever of him if that’s the case.
