It always takes me by surprise when a newly-arrived franchise that was a glimmer in an executive’s eye a few short years ago grows into a household name and branches out in other media and on every platform imaginable. It’s even more amazing when it manages to do so with almost universally excellent games. And Dead Space is definitely just that sort of success story, so it would make sense that with the advent of a powerful new handheld, speculation of a Dead Space entry for it would follow.

“I’m absolutely interested in bringing Dead Space 2 to other platforms in the future. What’s key to us though is that we don’t do ports. We don’t do shabby conversions onto whatever platform it may be,” said Ian Milham, Visceral Games Art Director and the recent Dead Space iPad release definitely doesn’t belie his claims.
