New PlayStation Move Starter Bundle Coming Soon
We haven’t been writing about PlayStation Move lately. I think it’s gone under the radar of a lot of folks. Unlike Kinect, nobody is hacking it, but it seems to ‘just work’ and they’ve quietly been releasing games for it, too. So, here’s a story to get Move back into the spotlight, for a little while at least. It’s been announced via the official PlayStation blog that Sony is coming out with a new Move starter kit that includes a different game – not Sports Champion.

The new game is “PlayStation Move Heroes”, which is a new first party game feature some classic Sony franchises and characters, including Jak and Daxter, Ratchet & Clank and Sly Cooper. It looks to be a sort of platformy action game in the vein of Super Mario 64, and will have tons of Move support, as one can imagine. You may remember it from the 2010 Sony E3 press conference, where it was announced as “Heroes on the Move”.
Anyway, the starter kit includes “PlayStation Move Heroes”, the Eye camera required, and one Move controller thing. Remember that it doesn’t include the Navigation controller, which is is essentially the Move’s version of the Wii-nunchuck. Yes, I know you can use DualShock controller, but it’s not quite the same.
The pack, as mentioned, will be a Toys R Us exclusive and is going for $100, the same as the other pack. It will be released on March 22nd, which is also the same date as when “PlayStation Move Heroes” launches by itself.
