Free European Xbox Live Weekend Canceled, Microsoft Offers No Reason
Do you remember that free Xbox Live weekend Microsoft announced a while back to wild cheers and dancing in the streets? Well, I wish I could put this a nicer way, but basically they lied. And it’s not the first time they canceled planned events, but at least then they offered some kind of explanation. Who says Microsoft don’t learn from their mistakes?

All is, however, well. There will be another free Xbox Live session in the future, to make up for this one, or rather its absence. Sort of like this one made up for the last event they cancelled. “I’m told that ‘we’ll be in a position soon to announce a further Free LIVE Weekend.’ Apologies for any inconvenience.” tweeted the Xbox European Community Manager Graeme Boyd. Russia, Poland, Greece, South Africa, Czech Republic and Hungary are all good to go, as is the US. I’ll just quickly pop off to the BBC website to see if there’s any news of a major international incident involving Redmond and 10 Downing Street.
