Costco Confirms Motorola Atrix $149.99 Price
Motorola and AT&T are calling the Motorola Atrix “the world’s most powerful smartphone.” With praise like that, you might expect it to be expensive. Well, maybe not. Earlier today, Amazon Wireless started accepting pre-orders for the device to the tune of $150. Now, Costco agrees. The folks at AndroidCentral have posted a spycam shot of the Costco internal inventory system that shows the going rate for the Atrix to be $150.

Folks seem to be generally happy with the $150 price, considering that most smartphones go for $200 brand new, and not to mention that with something being “the most powerful”, it could be an excuse for AT&T to charge $250 or $300 or something. While that is a nice price, it’s also a bit of a silver lining in a thunderstorm. AT&T is charging $150 for the laptop dock, if rumors are to believed. And we have no reason to believe that they won’t charge equally high for the desktop dock. It’s fairly obnoxious that they’re overcharging for the docks. But they’re taking a few bucks off the phone. Thanks, AT&T.
Anyway, the Motorola Atrix 4G was one of the coolest gadgets unveiled at CES, and was my personal favorite (singular gadget) of the show. When they showed that you could plug the phone into the desktop dock, then unplug it and plug it into the laptop dock and keep going with your work session at the press conference, the press corps was just shocked. It was pretty awesome.
Anyway, you planning to get the Motorola Atrix?
