Motorola Atrix 4G to Cost $149.99 on Contract; $599.99 Off Contract?

The Motorola Atrix 4G is one of the most expected Android handsets of the beginning of the year and one of the most interesting devices introduced at CES this year.

While Motorola did confirm that the smartphone will hit AT&T stores by the end of February it looks like Amazon decided to post it up on its website as well. Amazon went ahead and actually revealed pricing details and launch dates too which is something we don’t get to see every day.

The Atrix 4G is expected to cost $149.99 with a new two-year contract from AT&T and the off contract price is expected to be $599.99. Motorola, or AT&T, is yet to confirm these numbers but we’re definitely happy with what we see.

The Atrix 4G could end up selling for $199.99 from AT&T but Amazon might offer an extra $50 discount, which is something Amazon would do. On the other hand, considering Verizon is getting the iPhone 4, which is something that will hit both the other U.S. carriers and the other Android manufacturers, a $149.99 price point for a phone such as the Atrix 4G would be a great offer for anyone looking to buy a new smartphone but still undecided between Android and iOS.

On top of this that Laptop Dock is also rumored to cost $150 which, although might seem a bit steep, sounds quite an affordable offer when bundling the dock with a $150 subsidized Atrix 4G.

Of course, we could be looking at a human error here, as the page in question has been pulled since becoming official, so we’ll have to wait for Motorola and AT&T to announce pricing details for the Atrix 4G before we’ll see the phone back on Amazon. And, for what it’s worth, the phone is expected to start selling on February 11, which is again, not confirmed at this time. Will that battery/power management issue be corrected in time for launch?
