AppleTV Far More Popular To Netflix Streamers Than The iPad

Numbers Show That People Have Watched More Netflix On AppleTV Than On iPad

While it may seem like a no-brainer that people who want to use a device to stream Netflix would use something like the AppleTV more than the iPad, the fact that AppleTV users are lapping iPad users when it comes to hours of streaming is pretty impressive considering some pretty disparate sales numbers.

Of course people are more likely to stream something like Netflix on a device that actually allows them to watch the movies and television shows on their television, it is still pretty impressive that the AppleTV has beaten the iPad in usage considering that the newest version of the AppleTV receiver was just released in September while the iPad was on the market for about six months longer.

There has also been quite a bit more units of the iPad sold than there has been the AppleTV receiver. The Apple iPad has sold 15 million units since its release while AppleTV units just reached one million sales at the end of 2010.
