2011 MacBook Pro Models Coming Soon With Sandy Bridge & Bells On? [Current MacBook Pro Stock Reported to be Tight; MacBook Air-like Next-gen Pro Refresh Rumored Again]
The Verizon iPhone 4 and the iPad 2 are the Apple products that will turn heads in the first part of the year, but every few weeks or so we’re going to bump into the next-gen MacBook Pro rumor. Today we hear that the current MacBook Pro generation is really running low on stock and that a 2011 refresh would be in order.

While Apple still has plenty of 2010 MacBook and MacBook Pro units left to sell it would seem that certain retailers are very low on supplies. In case you want a 15- or 17-inch MacBook Pro then you should better hit Apple instead or your regular third party retailer which might not be able to fulfill your request at this time.
The current MacBook Pro line was launched back in April 2010 so we might see Apple come out with its 2011 MacBook Pro line around the same time this year if not even earlier.
We’re particularly interested to see the new MacBook Pro models get that Sandy Bridge processors on board, but we’re even more interested to see whether the Pros will get a totally new design. And by new we certainly mean MacBook Air-like new. That’s the word that circles the streets right now empowered by Apple’s recent comments on this particular overall design; comments that were made during the last quarterly earnings report.
Apple is currently selling the Air, the notebook of the future, or that’s what the company is saying, which can only mean those slim lines could arrive to the MacBook Pros soon. And what better way to do that than 2011? Let’s not forget that the competition is going to have its own slim laptops out there soon, and yes, we do mean Samsung’s new slim notebook Series 9 line too, so Apple could strike back by making all its laptops as thin as the 2010 Airs and as powerful as, well, a MacBook Pro. That’s not something the competition would match yet.
Anyone particularly excited about the new MacBook Pro line?
