Samsung Galaxy Tab Officially Drops To $249.99 With T-Mobile

T-Mobile Lowers Samsung Galaxy Tab Pricing, Down To $249.99 With Two-Year Agreement & After $50 Mail-In-Rebate

The recent T-Mobile price cut rumors for the Samsung Galaxy Tab have proven to be accurate and as of now the tablet is now priced at $249.99. Of course, that comes along with the standard two-year agreement. But on the flip side, it is certainly better than the original $399 price tag.

Otherwise, in addition to the agreement, it is also worth noting that the price comes AFTER a $50 mail in rebate. And that really means that you will need to be prepared to shell out $299.99 on the day of purchase. Granted that is not the end of the world, and hey, if nothing else you can then use that $50 that comes back to purchase a case of which T-Mobile has a nice looking black leather folio that sells for $49.99. The other point on the rebate states that you will need to sign up for the higher of the two data plans, the $39.99 data plan which includes 5GB of data along with unlimited T-Mobile HotSpot.

Getting back to the price and it seems to be dropping quickly. After all, that $399 price point was in effect back in November. Not to mention it was $349.99 in mid-December. At this rate we may see the Galaxy Tab hit $199.99 sooner rather than later. Of course, that is a bit of wishful thinking. And at that, as someone who has been watching the Galaxy Tab and wants to go the T-Mobile route — I am having a hard time not hitting the checkout button and finalizing my order.

That said, the other US carriers have done some price lowering on the tablet as well. At present Sprint has it priced at $299.99 with a two-year agreement, AT&T has it for $549.99 with no agreement and the Verizon price is sitting at $499.99 without an agreement. US Cellular is also offering the tablet, though the price is either $499.99 or $399.99 depending on the data plan that you choose.

Personally I like the T-Mobile version because it allows you to use the device as a Mobile HotSpot without any additional charges, however the best device for you will likely depend on whether or not you want an agreement and most important — which provider has the best coverage in your area.
