Samsung Galaxy Fit, Gio & Mini Android Smartphones Confirmed

Ahead Of Mobile World Congress, Samsung Confirms Three Galaxy Branded Android Smartphones For Europe, Russia & China

We first saw the details come available for the Samsung Galaxy Ace the other day and it looks like we now have another three Galaxy branded devices. And strange enough, Samsung has decided to not wait until Mobile World Congress to offer these details.

Of course, the hope with that being maybe they have something a bit more exciting up their sleeves. But first, lets not get ahead of ourselves and deal with these latest three Galaxy smartphones. The models are the Galaxy Fit, Galaxy Gio and the Galaxy Mini. So far Samsung has remained quite in terms of pricing and exact release dates, however we can say that these will first come available in Russia next month and then later come to Europe, China and India. In addition, the Galaxy Fit is also expected to make its way into South America.

As for the specs, similar to the Galaxy Ace that we saw the other day, these latest are mid-range devices. Lets first begin with the Galaxy Fit.

Galaxy Fit: This handset is going to feature a 3.31 inch QVGA (240 x 320) touchscreen display, 600MHz processor, 5 megapixel camera and Android 2.2.

Galaxy Gio: This handset is going to have a 3.2 inch HVGA (320 x 480) touchscreen display, 800MHz processor, 3 megapixel camera and Android 2.2.

Galaxy Mini: This one will come sporting a 3.14 inch QVGA (320 x 240) touchscreen display, 600MHz processor, 3 megapixel camera and Android 2.2.

With that, it looks like another round of mid-range devices, but still, these should fill in some of the lower end considering most of what we have heard from Samsung in terms of smartphones were the higher-end Galaxy S devices. Anyway, while we already have the specs we would still imagine these to be on display in Barcelona next month.

Lastly, the handsets will all be packing other goodies such as Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Bluetooth 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, USB 2.0, accelerometer, proximity sensor, digital compass, GPS and a microSD card slot with between 150 and 160MB of internal storage.
