HTC Thunderbolt in Training Already; Does Simultaneous Voice & Data Over 3G Too? [New HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE Android Smartphone Rumors Emerge; Suggest Release Date Is Near]

While those rumored HTC Facebook phones would be a very challenging thing to watch, what we’re really interested in here are true Android super smartphones, like the HTC Thunderbolt, an upcoming HTC and Verizon flagship device.

The phone has been officially unveiled at a special event you might have heard about, CES 2011, and it is expected to arrive in Verizon and Best Buy stores by the end of February, according to recent leaks, rumors and speculations.

Today we have one more Thunderbolt rumor picked up from the streets as it looks like Verizon staff is reported to start training on the device this week. Now, since such hot phones get launched about two weeks after training the Thunderbolt is expected (again) to hit at some point around Valentine’s Day.

As we have already reported, the HTC Thunderbolt will have simultaneous voice and data over LTE (probably voice over 3G and data over LTE) which will certainly ruin AT&T’s marketing mojo, but today we hear that it might get even better than that with the Thunderbolt being able to do simultaneous voice and data over 3G too.

Such a feature, although not an absolutely must-have, will make a huge difference in the AT&T vs Verizon relationship. Not only did AT&T lost the exclusive iPhone agreement but it’s going to lose this simultaneous voice and data thing which it has been bragging with for so long.

Of course it could be just a rumor meant to create even more hype, and therefore hurt AT&T in the process, and we won’t be able to confirm it until the first HTC Thunderbolt hits stores. We’ll be on the lookout for more Thunderbolt rumors, so make sure you keep an eye on TFTS, subscribe to our feed and follow us on Twitter for more Thunderbolt hot details.
