CyberPower Shows Off Gamer Ultra 2073 PC
Usually when you think “gaming PC,” you think about some overpriced, overpowered thyroidal monster that seems like it’s about three inches from hijacking your speakers and declaring that it’s become self-aware and the neighbors pose a huge risk to your permanent security. Well, cheer up, gamers on a budget, because the folks out at CyberPower want to give you a little boost with their Gamer Ultra 2073 PC.

Of course, it being a gamer PC, it’s going to be heavily devoted to the aesthetics, and as you can see from the pic above, it definitely looks like it crawled whole and breathing out a science fiction movie. But is it packing the appropriate hardware to match? We got a look at the spec sheet, and this is what we found.
The Gamer Ultra 2073 is packing an AMD Athlon II X2 255 dual core processor running at 3.1 GHz, four gigs of DDR3 RAM, a one terabyte hard drive with a 24x DVD rewriter, ATI Radeon HD5450 graphics, 7.1 channel surround sound, Ethernet connectivity, and Windows 7 Home Premium for an operating system.
All of this isn’t half bad, of course–the processor seems a bit on the lower end (especially considering the recent outflow of support for stuff like Sandy Bridge gear) but there’s no doubt it’ll mop up the floor with World of Warcraft–but the real winner here is the price tag. These are looking to start at $439.99, so even a gamer on a budget will still have plenty of cash left over for pizza, Cheetos and Mountain Dew even after picking one of these up.
Word is that you can pick these up at Newegg right now, so if you’re in the mood to get some budget PC gaming on, well, you’re probably in a pretty good position to do so with this on hand.
