White Nexus S Coming Soon; Italians to Get Google Nexus S Too

The Samsung Nexus S, the unofficial Google Nexus Two, is the only device out there to run Google’s latest smartphone OS, Android 2.3 Gingerbread. What’s more surprising is that no Gingerbread device has been announced since the Nexus S, not even at CES 2011, not to mention we’re still waiting for most manufacturers and carriers to roll out their own Android 2.3 updates for some of the hot smartphone out there.

While you wait for manufacturers to update their current or upcoming smartphones to Android 2.3, you can go ahead and purchase the Nexus S, which is available in a bunch of markets already and experience a Google original Android universe. And while some people have tough times finding the right white hue for their hot but flawed iPhone 4, Samsung is apparently ready to roll out a white Nexus S version.

Unfortunately we don’t have release dates for the white version for now but word on the street is that European customers might get it soon enough.

Speaking about European customers it would seem that Italy is the next country in line to receive Google’s second Nexus smartphone. The phone, currently available in the USA and UK will start selling in Italy too and the right price for the device seems to be 549 Euros although we would assume that you’d want to pick a subsidized Nexus S, if possible, in order not to pay the full price from the get-go.

The Italian Google Nexus S (and, why not, possibly a white one) will hit stores at some point next month, so better make sure you get your cash ready in time for the upcoming launch. And if you do get the smartphone, then, by all means, let us know more about your Nexus S European experience!
