Killzone 3 Will Have PlayStation Home Integration, Amazon Pre-Order Option

The launch of one of Sony’s pretty big but not quite huge shooter franchises is also occasioning a change in the decor in the Home away from home most PS3 gamers are rabidly apathetic about. This is apparently the first time Sony has gone all out in quite this fashion, transforming the entire central plaza into “the last ISA stronghold,” which players can defend by employing their otherwise useless avatar in a series of minigames.

Completing these minigames will unlock certain multiplayer game content and there’s even a feature allowing you to pre-order the game from Amazon, regardless of the fact that doing it from your phone would probably take less time and be more convenient. But doing it from your phone wouldn’t net you an imaginary non-functional jetpack for your avatar, now would it? Although if I were Sony, I’d have just dropped a giant flea in the Home plaza and been done with it.
