HTC Thunderbolt Accessories Coming to Best Buy February 19; Release Day Near? [Best Buy Now Said to Get HTC Thunderbolt 4G Accessories; We Care More About the Launch Date of the Android 4G LTE Smartphone]
The HTC Thunderbolt (here’s our hands-on with the device at CES 2011) is surley one of the mobile stars of the beginning of the year. Similar in size and specs to the HTC EVO 4G, but just a little better, the phone will be one of the first 4G LTE handsets coming to Verizon wireless in the first half of the year.

And that release date you keep looking for might become official sooner than you think. The Thunderbolt has been rumored to hit stores on Valentine’s Day, and, among other things, to be a Best Buy exclusive, when it comes to third party retailers since, naturally, you’ll find it in Verizon stores too.
Today we hear that HTC Thunderbolt accessories are supposed to hit Best Buy on February 19, so that can only mean the actual release date is getting closer and closer. The phone could be launched in the following days after the arrival of these accessories, so we could be looking at an official late February release date.

The leak above is kinda telling us that February 14 launch date was a bit off, but that doesn’t mean you can’t have a late Valentine’s Day Thunderbolt present if Verizon will decide to only make the phone available at the end of next month. On top of that, let’s not forget Verizon will also be focusing on the iPhone 4 launching on February 10, so having the Thunderbolt out on the 14th doesn’t sound like the smart thing to do.
Speaking of accessories, we’re currently looking at a holster case for the HTC Thunderbolt, which will cost you $34.99, but official pricing details for the phone itself are still missing in action. We’ll be back with more pricing details and confirmed release dates once we have them, so follow us on Twitter and subscribe to our feed to get them in a timely fashion.
Oh, and by the way, what is it going to be, Verizon customers, the CDMA iPhone 4 or the HTC Thunderbolt 4G LTE?
