Motorola Atrix 4G Laptop Dock Price Rumored to be $150
The Motorola Atrix 4G is one of the most expected Android handsets hitting AT&T stores in the following months, not just because its unique smartphone specs and features but also because of that Webtop app that will let you extend your Atrix smartphone experience to a bigger screen via the Laptop & HD Multimedia Docks.

Unfortunately we don’t have official release dates and pricing details for the Atrix 4G just yet, but a new rumor suggests Laptop Dock prices. The Atrix 4G accessory, which is basically offering you just a screen, speakers, battery and keyboard that will be brought to life each time the Atrix gets docked, will cost $150. The rumor comes straight from someone that talked to a Best Buy employee that talked to an AT&T rep. So, in other words, a grain of salt is still required to take it all in.
The Atrix 4G will most likely cost $199.99 with new two-year contracts, that is if AT&T won’t decide to charge a premium $249.99 fee for a premium phone such as the Atrix. Paying $150 on top of that sounds a bit much but that’s what you’ll have to shell out, if this rumor is to be believed, in order to turn your Atrix 4G into a proper laptop or better said, netbook.
Naturally, when considering the down payment you make for the Atrix 4G ($200 to $250) and then the monthly contract fee you pay for the next 24 months, getting a $150 accessory might sound a little expensive for an Android device that, in six to nine months from now will be kinda obsolete. Don’t get me wrong, the phone is probably going to be a remarkable device, but, in Android time, by the end of the year you’ll probably see in stores a bunch of other smartphones that you might want to own, and which will most likely be incompatible with the Laptop Dock.
Buying the Atrix 4G for full price, whatever it might be, is also an expensive endeavor which should make you think twice about investing extra cash into that Laptop Dock.
But let’s hear it from you, Atrix 4G fans, how much would you pay for the Laptop Dock and why?

ASS 150 dollars for the craptop dock?! THATS BULLLLLLLLLLLSHIT! 250 $ for the USA 3ds, and 150 for a dock thats completely useless unless you have the phone? No more than 60 or it won’t catch on. :C
ass, you are an idiot. This laptop dock is a fully featured laptop with flash support and so $150 is not a ripoff.
I’m sure Motorola would come out with more phones that the dock is compatible with. Remember, they are in the phone business, not the dock business.
The way Motorola has approached Atrix suggest that they intend to make Atrix a franchise.
$200 not too much since it will replace a netbook (and for some, even a desktop) with a much smarter and simpler approach, including: no boot-up time, no hot/heavy Windows device draining batt, ALL your files and bookmarks with you at all times, etc. I agree that future phones will probably fit the same docks (perhaps even other manufacturers will adopt standard), but even if not, this is not too much money to have an extremely versatile, powerful, and efficient system for mobile computing. SMART! I want it!
