Xbox Live Gold Free Four Day Trial Offered By Microsoft, DLC Discount As Well

Microsoft is really taking advantage of rival PSN’s difficulties with multiplayer games and hacked Trophies to push its Xbox Live as far as it’ll go. And the first volley is what they should have done from the start, making Xbox Live Gold free. They’re only doing it for four days, though. However, it’ll be the best 28-31 of January you’ll have all year and no mistake. And  there are also some special offers in the pipeline, which Eurogamer kindly provided a list for:

Xbox Live Arcade:

• 26th January: Breach, 1200 Microsoft Points
• 2nd February: Bionic Commando Rearmed 2, 1200 Microsoft Points

Xbox Live Game Add-ons:

Make no mistake, I’m completely aware that this is just a case of spending money (or rather, abstaining from collecting money) to make money for Microsoft, but those Xbox Live Gold accounts aren’t coming down in price anytime soon.
