Verizon To Give Recent Upgraders "Up To A" $200 Visa Debit Card Towards iPhone 4 Full-Retail Purchase
While there are still more than a few details that people are wondering about in terms of the Verizon iPhone 4 launch, it does seem as if Verizon has been quietly adding to the iPhone 4 FAQ page. Most recently we are learning the full retail pricing and that those who have upgraded recently may be eligible to receive an incentive.

First things first, the iPhone 4 full retail pricing for Verizon is as follows;
- 16GB for $649.99
- 32GB for $749.99
And for those who may have forgotten, the upgrade and new contract pricing is $199.99 or $299.99 for the 16GB and 32GB model respectively. Moving on and getting to the perk that will be offered for those who may have upgraded recently. According to Verizon, that ‘recently’ is being described as having fallen between November 26th and January 10th. Basically, the holiday shopping season up until the iPhone 4 announcement.
As to what those who fall into that time period will get should they choose to upgrade now — “up to a” $200 Visa debit card. The catch here is that those interested will have to buy the iPhone no later than February 28th and will have to buy the phone at full retail pricing. In other words, $649.99 or $749.99. Furthermore, the iPhone will have to be purchased direct from Verizon, whether telesales, in-store or online.
Basically this means the final pricing would be $449.99 or $549.99, still a pretty penny considering. Of course, assuming you purchased a decent phone, for example, a smartphone, you may still get some decent cash in return by way of the second hand market. Then again, it is still very likely you will be shelling out at least some additional cash. Bottom line, while not an ideal situation, it is at least something. And hey, depending on how much extra you need to shell out, it will likely be better than waiting two more years to get the iPhone.
