Sega Announces Dreamcast Collection Release Date & Platforms
Sega has given their upcoming Dreamcast Collection a release date and they’ve named the platforms it will be available for. The game will release in North America on February 22nd for Xbox 360 and PC, followed by a European release on February 25th. Unfortunately PS3 owners, you’re being left out in the cold with this one, as there are no plans for a PS3 release yet.

The games that will be included in the Dreamcast Collection are Sonic Adventure, Crazy Taxi (which have both already been released on XBLA and PSN), Space Channel 5: Part 2 and SEGA Bass Fishing. While this is a decent collection, it’s rather disappointing to see two games that have already been released digitally, when there are plenty of classic Dreamcast games that players would love to experience again (Jet Grind Radio or Shenmue anyone?).
Sega’s Gary Knight had this to say about the impeding release: “The Dreamcast console is still remembered as a pioneering console for online gaming. We are delighted to be able to offer to our large community of dedicated fans a collection such as Dreamcast Collection for them to enjoy old favorites on this generation of consoles.”
