PSP 2 Reveal Date Is 27th Of January, Tokyo Press Event Reveal Planned

PSP 2 To Be Announced At Tokyo Presser End Of January

There’s been no shortage of rumors regarding the PSP’s second coming, but there was certainly no word of any date associated with the thing until today. Still no release date, mind you, but we may have a release date on the release date, so there’s that to look forward to. According to MCV, anyway, who is reporting that Sony will spill the beans and assorted vegetables (are beans vegetables though, because ever since I got burned with tomatoes I just never know anymore?) at a Tokyo Press Event on the third to the third power of January.

Keeping everything we’ve heard about it to date in mind, expectations will be phenomenally high and we can’t help but think Sony would have squashed the rumors of early PS3-level graphics and led with something else if they weren’t true rather than have an anticlimax on their hands. Me? I’m just happy to see the handheld market get shaken up again.
