CES 2011: TRENDnet TEW-692GR Is First 450Mbps Concurrent Dual Band Router Ever
Routers are about as exciting as mattress shopping at the best of times and lo and behold, the best of times are upon us. TRENDnet have just announced the first commercial concurrent dual band router, which operates both on the 2.4 and 5 Ghz spectrums at the same time. Now don’t get us wrong, if we were living in a world where our home router was the speed bottleneck for our Internet, champagne would be flowing like water at our house at this news.

As things stand, though, our Internet will probably max out this baby by the time they start sticking it in cereal boxes as a prize. If you do live in a place where you might find this useful, though, there a $250 price tag on this thing, not to mention the ever permanent danger of the air in your house becoming too thick with Internet to breathe.
