CES 2011: Polaroid's Square Tablet Strives To Fit In Round CES Peg

Polaroid Shows Off Square Android Tablet To CES-Goers

Polaroid’s efforts to be relevant again are coming to a head with the unveiling of heir newest consumer electronics product at the Consumer Electronics Show. Appropriate. Unfortunately, Polaroid’s new Creative Director (sort of like Don Draper, only with more clothing made out of meat) wasn’t on hand to demo the tablet for us, maybe because it’s square and she’s anything but.

Well, it’s not exactly square, but it’s definitely a rectangle who maybe wanted to be a square a bit too much ever since it was a kid. Either way, the specs are just this side of decent, checking off the requisite Cortex A8 1GHz processor, 4GB of storage, 2 MP camera
and a 6800 mAH battery. Sorry, Polaroid, putting out a tablet the only revolutionary feature of which is that it’s slightly less rectangular than the competition, not what you’d call good form.
