CES 2011 LIVE: LG Optimus Black Hands-On & Pictures
One of the new phones that LG announced at CES this year is the LG Optimus Black. LG had mentioned that this phone light – and in a crowded LG booth at the 2011 CES, I’ve gotten my hands on the device. LG’s tagline for the device is “See the power of light,” (a play on the ‘Black’ moniker) – but how light it is?

The LG Optimus Black is… well, very very light. Without having both phones in my hands, my unscientific opinion is that the LG Optimus is lighter than the iPhone 4 and lighter than the Samsung Continuum, which was the lightest Android phone I’ve used. Overall, it’s fairly impressive.
Another interesting point – the LG Optimus Black is using a custom user interface that looks very similar to the TouchWiz UI that is used in Samsung. LG wouldn’t tell me if they licensed it from Samsung or something, but it looks very similar, in my opinion. Check out some of the pictures I snapped below and tell me what you think in the comments.
As for as the performance of the phone, I found it to be pretty responsive, quick and high-powered. It’s got a 4.0-inch display and a 5MP camera.
