CES 2011: Price Grabber Localization For iPhone/iPad On The Way
If you’ve ever found yourself trying for a new start in a different country than the one you came into the world in, chances are your lack of credit history will pretty much ensure you have a run-in with Experian when trying to sign up for any sort of subscription services. Fortunately, they’re sometimes on the helpful side as well, as they’ve just announced they’re going to launch an update to their Price Grabber app that contains localization features.

And yes, while the App Store is lousy with price comparison apps, the new features like notification when a product reaches a certain price limit, informing the intrepid shopper of local offers and some others we’ll let you discover for yourself seem to make this app slightly more interesting. And yes, before you ask, in keeping with tradition, this update’s free as well. Now, does it make up for that by sending your data to advertisers without your knowledge and whatnot? We have no idea. But these days, it doesn’t seem that far-fetched.
