CES 2011 LIVE: LG Optimus 2X Becomes Official
Just as expected LG announced the Optimus 2X Android smartphone at CES 2011, which happens to be the first smartphone in the world to come with a dual-core processor on board. Speaking of firsts, the phone will also be the first handset in the world to sport 1080p Full HD playback and video recording so there are plenty of reasons to choose it as your next Android handset.

The device will pack NVIDIA’s Tegra 2 AP20H 1GHz dual-core processor and could be LG’s first real Android flagship device, the kind of smartphone that we’ve been waiting for months to arrive. But unfortunately not all the specs and features of the handset have been unveiled during the press event. The LG Optimus 2X is going to be one of the most expected handsets of the year and we’re glad to see that LG is not going to stop at launching just one handset.
The LG Optimus Black has also become official today while later on we’re going to get more information about the upcoming LG LTE products, including smartphones, (which were not yet mentioned), so stay tuned for more details as we proceed with our CES 2011 coverage.

Looking for info on their new ‘Pad’…
not seeing anything so far.
@DDhawk, it’s coming only later, according to LG
10-4…Thx Chris
I assume by your wording…”Later”
that there is no timeline given.
A bit of a let-down…this would have been the premeir
venue for the debut of this highly anticipated product…
however, if it takes more time to get it right the 1st time…
that’s time well spent…providing the market doesn’t
leave them behind in the meantime.
thx again
Ah no, we’ll have the tablet tomorrow, sorry for not making it clear, that’s what LG said, so they’ll have to show it.
Thatsa’mo’betta’
Looking forward to it. Hoping to see if it
incorporates the new QR-LPD QDot tech
into this platform (or any of their other displays).
btw; their new Smart-phone is really impressive.
thx again
