CES 2011: Asus Eee Pad MeMO Android Tablet Official; Ready to Fight the iPad 2?
As we speak Asus is on stage at its CES 2011 event announcing new products, and, just as we told you earlier here on TFTS, new tablets. There are a bunch of potential iPad 2 rivals coming out from Asus laboratories, both Android and Windows 7 devices and we’re going to take a look at each of them starting with the Asus Eee Pad MeMO.

The Eee Pad MeMO is an Android device that will come with a dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor on board, dual cameras, a 7-inch IPS multitouch screen, MeMiC media phone extender, 1080p playback support and, for whatever reason, some stylus support too. We have no idea whether we’re looking at Android Gingerbread or Honeycomb here so we’re certainly waiting for the official press releases to hit.
The Eee Pad MeMO will be in stores at some point in June and it will sell starting at $499 and going all the way up to $699.
