RunKeeper Pro Now Available For Free
There have been quite a few fitness apps coming out for the iOS and Android Devices but none have been quite as popular as RunKeeper. Apple actually called RunKeeper Pro one of the best grossing fitness apps in the App store and now it is completely free for a very limited time.

Through the end of January RunKeeper Pro will be knocked down from its usual $9.99 to the completely free version. Some have asked why exactly an app that has been widely recognized as so successful would decide to go without revenue for an entire month. The developers of the app say the main reason for offering it up for free right now is to try and draw in more users.
Another reason for the price drop could be the same kind of approach that EA did with their games in which they dropped the price in order to be ranked at the top of the sales lists when they raise the price again, drawing the attention of purchasers.
