Little Big Planet 2 Sees Windows XP Recreation, Dubbed Windows LBP

Windows XP Has New Lease On Life In Little Big Planet 2

While you can do plenty of neat stuff in Windows XP, or rather you used to before all of these shiny new siblings turned up to steal the show, we’ve never actually thought of it as a game before. Turns out we were just missing the imagination, which LittleBig Planet 2 modders Boss_Mob, SaggySackBoy, tomatenbrei and daFRED94 had plenty of.

That droning sound you’re hearing is probably Microsoft’s hive of lawyers waking to life, but the authors don’t really seem to bother with any such concerns and are actually working hard to improve the level. The latest thing they’ve added is multiplayer, which anyone who’s ever had two mice plugged into the same PC will tell you is probably a blast (though you’re getting two pointers here, unfortunately). Seven minutes of fake Windows XP shenanigans should have you convinced whether to download it either way, so click on through with confidence.
