Sony Ericsson Xperia X10 Gingerbread Theme Mod
Sony Ericsson is one of those Android mobile phone manufacturers that are often late in updating to the latest Android version. A modified ROM for the flagship Xperia X10 lets you experience Gingerbread goodness, at least in the UI.

While other manufacturers are already starting to roll out Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Sony Ericsson still 2.1 Eclair on its Xperia handset line. Some users are quite impatient, though, and have been brewing up their own custom ROMs that feature the latest updates.
The modification will require that you have Android 2.1 on your system, that you have root access, and Busybox installed.
The custom software for the Xperia X10 doesn’t get you the full functionality of Gingerbread, but only the look and feel of the Gingerbread user interface. Also, the system still has some bugs, like a non-working Gingerbread launcher and crashing camera in certain settings.
Still, this might be a good hack to do if you’re the adventurous type and you want to set your phone apart from all other Xperia X10s.
