PETA Awards Adult Swim Flash Games For Being Animal-Friendly [PETA Gives Polar Bear Payback & Tofu Hunter An Award For Being The Most Animal-Friendly Games Of The Year]
Well, everyone’s favorite hypocritical organization is delving into the work of video games once again. They’ve given their Proggy Award For Most Animal-Friendly Game of the Year to none other than Polar Bear Payback, a game about a rampaging Polar Bear who shows baby seal hunters a thing or two, and Tofu Hunter, a game where the player is tasked with hunting down tofu-based lifeforms. Both flash games are made by Adult Swim, so I’m pretty sure this wasn’t the intended result.

“By portraying the killing of animals for sport, food, or fur in a negative way, these games encourage players to give animals a break and stop eating, wearing, and shooting them,” said Ingrid E. Newkirk, President of PETA. “Kudos to Adult Swim for recognizing that concern for animal rights has moved squarely into the mainstream.”
Wait a minute, how can PETA give out awards for animal-friendliness when they themselves aren’t even animal-friendly? Oh, that’s right, I forgot they were hypocrites for a minute there. In any case, it seems the humor behind these games is completely and utterly lost on PETA.
