Nintendo Warns That Young Children Should Not Use 3DS
While the Nintendo 3DS is expected to be the next big thing in the video game world, Nintendo wants you to know that the portable game system isn’t for everyone. Yesterday the company issued a warning on its Japanese language blog saying children under the age of six should stay away from the device.

Nintendo has warned that using the 3DS for long periods of time can be damaging to the eye and that younger children should not use the device at all because their eyes have not fully developed yet. The company goes on to warn that users of all ages should not use the device for more than a half hour at a time. Nintendo has long held that people should not be playing the 2D version for longer than an hour at a time.
While the warnings might actually be fairly prudent, there are some who are wondering why no warnings were posted on Nintendo of America’s English language blog.
