HTC EVO Shift 4G Release Date, Price Confirmed By Leaked Radio Shack Ad? [Radio Shack Flyer Confirms EVO Shift 4G Release Date, January 6th, But Can It Be Trusted?]
Previously, it was reporting that the HTC EVO Shift 4G would be sold starting on January 9th, with the two-year contract price of $150. Now, adding a little creditability to that rumor are these leaked Radio Shack sale papers that the folks at AndroidCentral have posted. They show Radio Shack promoting the phone, on the same date and same price.

Radio Shack was once just the place where you’d go to buy AV cables if you needed them, but now they’ve actually been attempting to establish themselves as a major phone retailer. For some reason, they seem to be palling around with Sprint the most, hence this leaked sales flyer that shows Radio Shack offering the HTC EVO Shift 4G for $149.99 on January 9th. You’ll recall that the EVO Shift’s big brother, the regular EVO 4G, was a huge seller for Radio Shack (and Sprint).
Anyway, what do you think about the EVO Shift? It’s coming at a slightly cheaper price, just $150 on a two-year contract, but it’s also a bit smaller, just 3.6-inches, which is iPhone size but a bit smaller compared to the rest of it’s Android brothers. It’s also carrying a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, which I imagine will be the main appeal of this device. Although the January 9th release date is near the end of CES next week, I wouldn’t hold my breath for any official announcement there. Neither HTC, Sprint nor Google are going to be exhibiting at CES, so no place really for this sort of announcement. Looks like it will be a soft launch of the EVO Shift.
