Epic Games To Reveal New IP At GDC 2011
In a recent interview with EGM, Cliff Bleszinski told gamers to keep their “eyes peeled at GDC” 2011, discussing plans to reveal a new Epic IP at the next Game Developers Conference. He was light on the details, but seemed pretty excited to talk about the new IP. During the interview, he said that Prototype‘s lead designer Eric Holmes was working on the game, which was originally his idea but has since become Holmes’ game.

While talking about the new IP, Bleszinski said, “I believe game designers are the Stan Lees and Jack Kirbys of our day, and we’re creating these universes that leave a huge impact on people. Gamers vote with their dollars and they often like established IPs, but those IPs came from somewhere, right? Call of Duty was crafted by the original Medal of Honor guys. Gears of War was crafted by the original Unreal Tournament guy. I look forward to creating what’s next.”
Other than that, there aren’t any details yet on the new IP, but fans of Epic’s previous IPs will certainly be keeping an ear tuned to news from GDC when it kicks off on February 28, 2011.
