Humble Indie Bundle 2 Earns $1.8 Million, We'll Probably See Another One

Humble Indie Bundle 2 Earns Almost $2 Million With Pay What You Want Charity Sale

This thing officially needs a change of name, as we’re pretty sure there isn’t anything on this planet that can raise $1.8 million dollars and still call itself humble while letting people buy it for whatever they want. All the signs were there at the $1 million mark, but only after seeing it assimilating its first incarnation did we realize the scope of the humble indie monster being unleashed.

Even more worrying, it’s started putting ideas into people’s heads. It apparently took 232,849 downloads to accrue the spoils and an average sum of $7.83 was paid for each, which we guess goes to show the generous soundly outweigh the cheapskates, at least in the Windows indie game buying community. The Linux guys just went all out, though, with an average purchase of $13.76, but hey, all that money they’re not paying for OS’s and programs had to go somewhere, right?
