The HTC EVO Shift 4G has been spotted left and right for a while now, so we’re more than convinced that this HTC Desire Z / T-Mobile G2 version, also known as the Knight to some folks, will hit Sprint at some point in the near future.
The HTC EVO Shift 4G appears to be to the EVO 4G what the Desire Z is to the Desire HD, a little brother capable to offer a great Android experience, not to mention similar 4G support on top of everything.
Up until now we’ve seen various specs and features of the handset but we’re still waiting for pricing details and launch dates. Luckily the first days after Christmas brought these details to the crowds, so go get your cash and calendar ready. The HTC EVO Shift 4G is now said to arrive on January 9, the last day of CES 2011. Sprint and Best Buy are apparently going to sell the handset for $149.99. Obviously that’s the subsidized price so make sure you’re ready to sign a new two-year contract with Sprint in order to get the HTC EVO Shift 4G for this particular price.
In case you forgot what the G2 or the HTC Desire Z have to offer then we’ll quickly remind you some of their specs and features: 3.7-inch touchscreen display, 800MHz Snapdragon processor, 5-megapixel camera, 512MB RAM and Android running the whole show. Add to that some 4G WiMAX capabilities, and maybe some Gingerbread features and you’ll end up with this HTC EVO Shift 4G we keep seeing in leaks.
