Braid Creator Jonathan Blow Strikes Back At CVG After They Post A Misleading Article About Him

Jonathan Blow Speaks Out Against CVG After They Take His Words Out Of Context

Jonathan Blow is none too happy with game blog CVG after they published an article that takes his words from a recent interview with Edge Magazine out of context, he says. The headline of the article in question reads “Braid creator: Sony takes more risks than MS with indie game choices,” and Blow contends that CVG are just publishing an admittedly short article on a rather long a interview just to cause controversy and further fuel to the console war.

“CVG’s article is a deceptive, manipulative piece of sensationalist crap meant to drive hits by stoking the argument between Sony fans and Microsoft fans. It misrepresents the content of the interview almost entirely. (Chris Hecker, who was half the interview, doesn’t even appear in their write-up. This alone should make it clear that they have no interest in truthful and accurate communication.)” Blow wrote in a recent post on The Witness blog.

In the blog post, Blow explains what was discussed in the original interview, and what was actually meant by his statements on Sony and Microsoft’s relationship with indie developers. Click the via link if you’d like to read Blow’s blog post, and then tell us who you think is in the right.
