Activision Vs Infinity Ward Fight Just Got Uglier, EA Added To Lawsuit

There’s just nowhere to hide from Activision today, now is there? The publisher of one of the highest-grossing games ever made is now addine Electronic Arts to the lawsuit they have going against Jason West and Vince Zampella, the Infinity Ward founders who were evicted with armed guards from Infinity Ward headquarters after producing monster hit game Modern Warfare 2 earlier this year and have now signed their new studio, Respawn, with EA. The resulting reading is just insane.

Activision is saying EA not only schemed with the two ex-IW heads to facilitate their transition to EA, but that the two are also responsible for sabotaging poor old hard-working Treyarch who never get any credit for anything. Apparently the duo received email from EA’s John Schappert along the lines of  “JR cooks a mean BBQ. I think we could accomplish some interesting chaos.”, JR being EA CEO John Riccitiello in this scenario and maintained secret email communications with EA while also being ferried by private plane to secret meetings. There are all sorts of incredibly ugly allegations there, too many to detail here, but we don’t know whether to laugh or to boo.
