Windows 8 To Fuel New PC Gaming Ambitions For Microsoft, Insider Says

Windows 8 Will Have Gaming At Its Core, According To Inside Source

We love PC gaming because, for the longest time, we thought it was the only sort of video gaming there was. And when we did eventually get our grubby mitts on cheap NES knock-offs and eventually PlayStations, Xboxes and such, the PC was always the parental home  we returned to for a break from the colorful mayhem of consoles with the occasional thoughtful RTS, tycoon or point and click adventure game.

Which is why it warms our hearts to bring you the following statement, which TechRadar pried out of  one of those eternal persons familiar with the subject. “Windows 8 will represent a real new push into PC gaming. Gaming will be a key component for the whole OS.” is what the insider had to say and just reading it made us almost forget about the same promises made about both Vista and Windows 7, though they do have plenty of time to get it right. Apparently the fact that Microsoft has hired former Hewlett-Packard VP and VooDoo PC founder Rahul Sood is a sign of hope to some, though we fail to  see the significance of it. Here’s hoping we’re wrong, though.
