HTC EVO Shift 4G Spotted In The Wild
A few new images of the still unannounced HTC EVO Shift 4G smartphone have hit the interwebs. We are beginning to see more and more of this handset, and in this case that is fairly literal considering we now have a nice shot of the front and back of the handset.

But otherwise, in the past we have seen other sets of leaked details including a rumored release date of January 9th as well as some specs. The specs were said to include Android 2.2, a hardware QWERTY keyboard, 3.7 inch display, 512MB RAM and either a 5 or 8 megapixel camera. Oh and, how could we forget the Sprint 4G.
In the past, the details also included word on the processor, which had been in question as to whether it was 800MHz or 1GHz. Well, in a little bit of disappointing news, the processor is now said to be 800MHz and that makes this handset seem a little more along the lines of the T-Mobile G2 as opposed to the HTC EVO 4G (assuming it had a hardware keyboard). Still, a decent phone though.

With that, there is not much else new, well, other than to sit back and stare at the images. Sadly though, they do not offer much else in terms of features. What we can see is a nice looking keyboard with trackpad, 4 touch sensitive buttons, a chrome bezel and a camera with what appears to be a flash on the back. Plus, there is the speaker on the back as well as the power and headphone jack on the top, but those are pretty much a given.
Otherwise, there is also the clear picture showing the HTC Sense user interface, which should make some happy. With that, here is to hoping that the January 9th release date rumors are accurate. Gotta love the lead into CES, slow news during the holidays makes for some speculation filled days.
