Fujitsu Lifebook T580 Tablet PC Now Shipping
While it has now been several months since we saw Fujitsu announce the Lifebook T580 convertible netbook, that should not stop those hoping to make a purchase from getting excited as it has finally arrived for sale. Yup, the Lifebook T580 is now available and it has arrived with a starting price tag of $1,149.

That said, that price is for the “express buy” configuration, or you can choose to go the customized configuration route which seems to start a bit higher at $1,399. As for what you will get in the express buy configuration, this model is touting a 10.1 inch HD WXGA LED backlight LCD, 1.33GHz Intel Core i3-380UM processor and Windows 7 Professional. In addition, that display is noted as being 4-finger capacitive multi-touch with support for pen input.
Other specs include a spill-resistant keyboard with touchpad, 2GB of RAM, a 160GB hard drive, Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n, Bluetooth, 6-cell 5,800 mAh battery, built-in 1.3 megapixel webcam, fingerprint reader, ambient light sensor and a dedicated SmartCard slot.
Moving up to the customizable model and we find starting features such as a faster processor, which is a 1.33GHz Intel Core i5-560UM processor though there is also a smaller battery. The $1,399 model comes with a standard offering of a 3-cell 2900 mAh battery.
The Lifebook T580 is sporting measurements of 10.63 x 7.44 x 1.56 and will weigh in at 2.98 pounds with the 3-cell battery and 3.19 pounds with the 6-cell battery. As for the battery life, the 3-cell is said to be up to 3 hours and 25 minutes and the 6-cell is said to be able to offer up to 6 hours and 50 minutes.
Lastly, the express buy model is also noted as coming with a free extra right now. Those who make the purchase will be able to choose between either a 500GB DISKGO 2.5 Portable USB Hard Drive or a Coby CAM5001 Digital HD Camcorder Camera, both of which come for free.
