New $147 iPhone 4 & $47 iPhone 3GS Deals at Sam’s Club This Christmas; AT&T Contracts Still Required

After Radio Shack and Walmart it’s now time for Sam’s Club to offer you discounted iPhones these holidays. The company will still require you to subscribe to a two-year new contract with AT&T in order to get the discounts, but that’s what you should be doing in the first place in case you want to purchase a subsidized iPhone 4 or iPhone 3GS.

Sam’s Club will match Walmart’s iPhone offers by selling the iPhone 4, the 16GB version, for $147 on contract, which is $52 off the regular price found in Apple and AT&T stores. The iPhone 3GS will also sell for $52 off the regular price, or $47, when bundled with a new AT&T contract. All you need to do right now is check back with AT&T and make sure you’re eligible for a new contract and check back with your wallet to see if a new iPhone purchase can be sustained or not.

This special iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS offer will only last until Christmas Day, provided Sam’s Club has enough iPhone stock to last until then, so you have just a few days to decide whether to buy the iPhone 4 or wait for something else to come along.

That something else may very well be a Verizon iPhone 4, that could hit stores at some point in early 2011, or the iPhone 5, which is expected to arrive in June 2011. And in case an iPhone will simply not do then there’s always the Android plethora of super-smartphones waiting for you to notice them.

Getting back to the iPhone 4 and iPhone 3GS, Apple will not offer you the same discounts though, so you’re looking at the same prices for every new subsidized device, $99, $199 or $299, depending on the model you choose.
