Cricket Wireless Intro's $55 Per Month Unlimited Wireless Calling & Data Plan With Unlimited Music

Samsung Suede Announced For Cricket, Will Be Priced At $199 & Will Use $55 Per Month Muve Music Rate Plan

Cricket Wireless has officially announced their latest wireless offering which combines unlimited features including unlimited music. The plan is dubbed Muve Music and comes with unlimited calling, messaging and data as well as unlimited music downloads, including ringtones.

The Muve Music rate plan is set to debut on January 6th, which for those not following quite as closely, is during CES. And then the service will go live for customers a little later in the month. Initially this new Muve Music rate plan will be available with one handset, the Samsung Suede, however other handset models will come available in time.

Getting back to the Muve Music rate plan for a moment, it almost sounds like what Microsoft and Verizon should have done with the KIN, included the Zune Pass as part of the monthly calling plan. That said, the KIN has been killed off not once but twice at this point so there are likely of plenty “should have done” comments.

Muve Music will have a robust catalog of music content which includes the four major record labels: Universal Music Group, Warner Music Group, Sony Music Entertainment and EMI Music.

The Muve Music rate plan is $55 per mont and includes;

  • Unlimited nationwide calling
  • Unlimited nationwide text, picture & video messaging
  • Unlimited global text messaging
  • Unlimited 3G mobile Web
  • Unlimited email
  • Unlimited data back up
  • Unlimited video

Plus, there is also the music which comes in the form of unlimited full track downloads, unlimited ringtones and unlimited ringback tones.

And for those wondering, the music (and ringtones) are tied to your monthly calling plan. In other words, stop paying for service and you stop listening. The music will be downloaded to a special SanDisk made flash memory card and will allow for around 3,000 songs in total.

Moving onto the handset, the Samsung SCH-r710 Suede. The phone will be priced at $199 and includes features such as a 3 inch touchscreen display, 3G, 3 megapixel camera, 3.5mm headphone jack, HTML web browser, virtual keyboard, the TouchWiz user interface and the dedicated music controls.
