Google Android App Inventor Now Open To Everyone With A Google Account

Google App Inventor Out Of Beta, Set To Democratize App Creation

You may know Google’s Android App Inventor as a program that allows people to create their own Android apps. All straightforward up to this point. The thing is, if you know it, that probably means you were a member of the private beta that just ended. Now, however, John Q Public can flex his developer muscles and see if he can come up with something useful.

Apparently, because we haven’t tried it yet, the program does the heavy lifting in the code department and has some sort of visual editor to help you put an app on its feet with minimal effort or skill requirement. And just about anyone with a Google account, which is to say anyone can now mosey on over and grab it. We’re not sure of the commercial possibilities, but if that app ida has been riving you up the wall, this should do the trick.
