Sony Announces PSN Android & iPhone App For Trophies, Friends

Sony's PSN App Will Be Available On App Store & Android Market "Very Soon"

If you were hoping to find out when this is coming, you already know the answer, it’s that really lazy and useless one they trot out when they don’t know anything for sure, but have to say something anyway: “very soon”. What we do know is that it will allow a PSN user to see his Trophies, status of friends in terms of what they’re playing and such and read the PlayStation Blog, because if someone were interested in reading the PlayStation blog, what better way to do it than with a separate application instead of an RSS reader like a normal person?

And while the App will be compatible with Android 1.6 and up, it will only work with iOS 4 and up, which is more than passing strange, we’d say. You don’t suppose it has something to do with the fact that Sony Ericsson still haven’t updated some of their phones from Android 1.6 or with their upcoming PlayStation Android phone,do you?
