PlayStation 3 Exclusive Killzone 3's Hugest Boss So Far Is A Flea
Anyone panning Killzone 3 for not being original enough, what with the Nazi-reminiscent Helghast and gray refineries, cityscapes and such will have to contend with Killzone 3‘s idea of what we think was meant to be irony, if it weren’t so blunt. So there’s this monster tank which apparently is around 300 meters tall in the game and about as detailed as a Killzone 2 level. Hell, it probably is a Killzone 2 level in and of itself at that size. And it’s a flea.

Or rather, modeled after a flea, which we understand the developers took inspiration from, since ripping off mother nature is always a good design surrogate. We actually meant that in a good way, taking a discrete aspect of nature and using it as a basic concept for a play mechanic is a lot damn harder than it looks, but has the advantage of offering a consistent mechanic. We’re not sure how the lack of safe places of respite for the player fits into all this, but we’re sort of dying to play this level now.
