Motorola Olympus / Etna MB860 Pictures Leaked on Picasa
There’s clearly Motorola in the air today as not only have we seen a leaked Motorola Stadia smartphone along with a potential release date for the Motorola Everest tablet but we also have a few more details about that upcoming flagship smartphone called the Olympus / Etna.

The phone, which is going to be Motorola’s first Android handset to pack a NVIDIA Tegra 2 dual-core processor along with Android 2.3 Gingerbread under the hood, is expected to hit at some point in early 2011 and should head to both to AT&T and Verizon, as the Olympus and Etna, respectively, and various international markets.
But until that happens it seems that we’re going to get a bunch of leaked images starring the Olympus / Etna in its testing period, just like we did with the Nexus S before it.

In today’s leak we have a bunch of images shot with a Motorola MB860 and uploaded to Picasa, Google’s image management and sharing service. Now the MB860 is just another fancy codename the Motorola Olympus has. We’re probably looking at some of the first test images leaked, intentionally, or unintentionally, by Motorola staff, just check the logo in the image below that tells us we’re looking at images taken in a Motorola office.

While the images aren’t impressive themselves, and we certainly expect more from any super smartphone hitting stores in the near future, we do get a glimpse of that Motorola Olympus / Etna in action.

We’ll be waiting for more details to be either leaked or officially revealed by Motorola’s execs but we’re definitely excited to see that this powerful Android super smartphone is slowly approaching launch date. Anyone ready to move to a next-gen Motorola Android handset? Would you replace your Droid X with a dual-core powered Olympus or Etna, or is it too early to say?
