Angry Birds, Back To webOS
The Angry Birds franchise is making its return to webOS. After Rovio won the Palm “Hot Apps” competition with the first Angry Birds, they’re now bringing Angry Birds Seasons, the popular Christmas-themed game, to the webOS platform for Palm Pre and Pixi devices starting now. The game will cost $1.99.

Some are complaining/wondering about the lack of a free ad-supported version of Angry Birds. While a lot of people like ad-free games, you’ve got to imagine that Rovio is making tons and tons of money from the ads on the Android version of Angry Birds. So, why would they opt out of that recurring income and only offer a paid version on webOS? Likewise, some webOS customers are complaining about having to pay for an app. Like $2 will kill you.
Anyway, Angry Birds Seasons is quite the game. It will unlock a new level every day until Christmas, to get you in the Christmas season. Plus, like Android, contains the full Halloween special that was an iPhone exclusive when it orginially came out. Hey, Halloween is over, but the Halloween levels have some fun Angry Birds music.
It’s good to see major developers like Rovio continue to support webOS, despite it’s relatively small user base compared to Android and iOS. Hopefully, if HP-Palm comes out with some good devices we’ll see more webOS phones out there, and a bigger user base to attract better apps.
