Rovio Mobile Plan To Release Angry Birds Seasons For webOS
There are plenty of Angry Birds fans, or maybe I should say addicts at this point. And after playing the recently updated Seasons version on my iPad last evening I am thinking I fit into that addict-wanting-more category. Of course, I assume that is at least in part due to the design of the game — you get one level per day for each of the 25 days leading up to Christmas. And lucky for me, I did not play on the 1st, so I got two levels yesterday. Needless to say, while those sporting something iOS or Android flavored already have Seasons, others are still waiting and hoping.

Well, one mobile OS that does not have to hope anymore is webOS, though you will have to wait just a bit longer. Rovio Mobile began sending out tweets earlier in the week teasing about the possibility of Seasons for webOS. And today, in a bit of good news we now have word that it is “almost there.” Granted, that still does not offer anything solid in terms of a release and for those waiting that may end up being nothing more than a big tease — especially with this being a Friday and lots of people having more time to waste play on the weekends.
Anyway, the tease comes as a result of those two words — “almost there” and an image of a Palm Pre with the Seasons app loaded up and ready to go. That said, there is some question as to what this will cost. As we have seen, the release is free for Android users (ad-supported) and came as an upgrade for those who had the Halloween version on iOS. But if you remember, webOS never received the Halloween edition so it makes you wonder what the price will be. And for those wondering, the regular version of Angry Birds for webOS is $1.99, though there is also a Lite version available for free.
