Gameloft Announce Halo-Alike NOVA 2 & Uncharted Dead Ringer Shadow Guardian
We’re pretty much running out of euphemisms for blatantly and shamelessly churning out iPhone versions of other people’s games. It’ll probably take just one false move too close to a hallowed franchise to properly learn’em. Either that, or to make a seriously crappy game for once. Because for all the lack of imagination, these usually play brilliantly, which somehow makes the problem all the worse.

Because you know they can do it and it’s like they’re taunting you. “We can make some awesome games when we put our minds to it, we just feel like giving you the same stuff you’ve had your fill of on any other platform, only we’re not going to even look like we’re trying for anything different” pretty much sums them up. Here, then are the two new additions to the roster, NOVA 2, which has jetpack enemies, in sync with the latest Halo and continues the “story” and Shadow Guardian which crams Uncharted and Tomb Raider together for vaguely archeological temple and village cover shooting and puzzle solving. We’re guessing this one won’t be selling book and movie rights, though with Hollywood you never know.
